Ross Mitchell

In his role as President of Dunbar Real Estate Investment Management, Ross Mitchell has overall responsibility for the firm’s investment and management activities. Since inception in 2011, Ross has led the firm in the acquisition of over four million square feet of value-added office and industrial real estate and nearly 600 multifamily units in over eighty-five separate transactions in Phoenix and Southern California.

Prior to founding Dunbar, Ross was a Vice President of Investments at Cohen Asset Management, Inc. in Los Angeles where he helped acquire almost four million square feet of industrial and office property throughout California, Arizona, Texas, and the Midwest. Investments varied from stabilized assets to distressed debt to value added joint ventures with institutional partners.

Ross earned a Bachelor of Commerce in real estate from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. Additionally, Ross holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.

Ross has been a speaker at the University of Southern California (USC) Lusk School for Real Estate, is actively involved with USC as a mentor for graduate real estate students and has served as a board member of the USC School of Policy, Planning and Development’s alumni board.

He lives in Manhattan Beach, California with his wife, Stephanie, and their five children.
